Howard A. Tullman is the CEO of 1871 – where digital startups get their start – and the General Managing Partner of G2T3V, LLC and of Chicago High Tech Investment Partners. He is a member of Mayor Emanuel’s Chicago NEXT and Cultural Affairs Councils; the Innovate Illinois Advisory Council; the Illinois Arts Council; a member of President Preckwinkle’s New Media Council; an adjunct professor at Kellogg; and an advisor to many start-ups. He is the former Chairman and CEO of Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy. Over the last 45 years, he has successfully founded more than a dozen high-tech companies. @tullman

Dr. Jackson is charged with developing a personalized learning framework that supports meaningful technology integration for all students across the District. He is spearheading the CPS initiative P.L.A.Y. (Personalized Learning Advancing Youth), which supports teachers and students in their implementation of a personalized teaching and learning model. In January 2015, the first component of P.L.A.Y. was introduced, CPS Connects. CPS Connects provides students connected learning environments by linking their school, home and community experiences. Prior to this role, Dr. Jackson was the principal of Spencer Technology Academy on the west side of Chicago. During his tenure, Spencer received national recognition for technology integration across curriculums.

Jennie Magiera is the digital learning coordinator for the Academy for Urban School Leadership, a network of 32 Chicago Public Schools, and previously taught math to 4th and 5th graders. White House Champion for Change, Apple Distinguished Educator, Google Certified Teacher and CPS' 2012 Tech Innovator of the Year, Jennie has been working to redefine education through effective technology use. She explores how to leverage 1:1 devices such as Chromebooks and iPads to increase student collaboration, self-efficacy and creativity. Jennie is also passionate about transforming professional learning, co-funding PLAYDATE and other new conference concepts. Aside from her students, Jennie's great loves in life are sci fi, mashed potatoes, Tabasco sauce, her dog and her husband. Lachlan Tidmarsh is the chief information officer for Chicago Public Schools (CPS), where he oversees end-to-end technology services supporting the third largest school district in the nation. Under his direction, CPS' Information and Technology Services department has worked tirelessly to provide improved products and services to its customers — over 400,000 students, teachers, principals and administrators. Prior to joining CPS, Lachlan worked for Aon, a multinational professional services firm, where he managed large-scale technology change initiatives in their infrastructure and applications teams.

L. McPhearson is the chief of staff for the Chicago Public Schools’ (CPS) Department
of Information and Technology Services. In this role, he is responsible for providing
technology leadership and support across the District, ensuring that technology
is accessible and user-friendly, that information is secure and reliable, and
that technology is high quality and dependable. Responsible for IT decisions
that affect the entire district, Anthony manages and approves IT projects and
budgets, and works in close partnership with the Chief Information Officer to
promote the use of technology to improve teaching and learning. Anthony has
served in many senior management roles at CPS over the past 11 years.
